It is with immense pride and deep satisfaction that I present this prospectus of the newly established Navy Medical College, Chattogram (NMCC). The establishment of this institution has long been a cherished dream of mine — a vision born out of my commitment to the welfare of the members of Bangladesh Navy and their families, and to the greater cause of building a healthier, stronger Bangladesh.
The Navy has always stood at the forefront of national service — safeguarding sovereignty, securing our maritime frontiers, and contributing to nation-building in education, infrastructure, and humanitarian assistance. In keeping with this legacy, the creation of NMCC marks a significant milestone in our journey. It is not merely an academic establishment but a solemn pledge to contribute to the healthcare sector of our beloved nation by nurturing competent, compassionate, and disciplined physicians.
I firmly believe that medical education is not only about producing doctors but also about shaping healers — men and women of knowledge, character, and empathy who will dedicate themselves to the service of distressed and suffering humanity. NMCC has been designed with this philosophy at its core. With state-of-the-art facilities, the first-ever simulation laboratory introduced at inception, and clinical exposure through our academic hospital BNS Patenga, we aim to set new benchmarks for medical education in Bangladesh.
The Navy Medical College is guided by the principles of discipline, excellence, and service to humanity. It will contribute not only to meeting the nation’s growing demand for qualified doctors but also to developing globally competitive professionals who can serve with distinction both at home and abroad. This institution will stand as a proud symbol of the Navy’s enduring contribution to human resource development, in line with the vision of a prosperous and healthy Bangladesh.
I warmly welcome aspiring students to join this noble journey at Navy Medical College, Chattogram — where their dreams of becoming healers will be shaped with courage, integrity, and service to humanity.
